One of Joe Banana's driver will meet you at port of La Spezia, he'll stand right in front of the gang way of your cruise ship with a sign and your name on it.
You'll be chauffeured about 1 hour, driving by a picturesque road to Pisa.
Pisa one of the symbol of Italy,because home of the famous Leaning Tower.
You will drive along the Arno river and discover the city including the University area where Galileo studied before stopping in the Leaning Tower square to view the Duomo, Battistero and city walls.
Afterwards you will stop to view the beautiful hills overlooking the city before driving one hour to Florence. When you arrive in the city, you will be accompanied to the Academia where the original David by Michelangelo is located (we will make a booking for you so you avoid the queues!)
Then you will go to the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, the Duomo of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Florence.
This cathedral was the third to be built in Florence and was the largest in Europe with room for 30,000 people. It is famous for its high, octagonal-ribbed dome - Brunelleschi's most famous masterpiece. Next you will go to the Battistero with its famous bronze gates, before coming to the Basilica di Santa Croce where Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, and Rossini are all buried.
Then the Old Bridge area, with its Renaissance palaces and medieval roads. You will have the opportunity to stop in some of the workshops to visit the local craftsmen at work.
At some point, stop for lunch in a typical restaurant, or grab a quick bite to eat on the way and also do some shopping if you wish. You will have about one hour to shop for leather, gold, Tuscany pottery, shoes, water colors, or other Florentine treasures.
